Returning From An Absence
When students are absent from school, they must follow the appropriateprocedure. Students are asked to present their ID card when picking up areadmit from the Attendance Office.
A Readmit (excused/unexcused) is required of any student absent oneor more class periods. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain areadmit.
- Students may clear an absence by bringing a note to the AttendanceOffice, before or after school, signed by the parent/guardian. Theattendance office window closes at 7:35 a.m. Students who do not makeit to the window by that time should go back after school.
- No teacher is to detain a student from leaving his/her class without firstsecuring permission from the following period teacher and not unless anote is written for the student to that teacher.
- Students who have uncleared absences may be assigned after-schooldetention or Saturday School by the teacher or administrator. (Seeunexcused absence policy).
